Denali Commission Broadband Denali Commission Broadband Funding Existing Competitive May 13, 2022 – Applications closed for FY2022 funding Yes

Description: Program to assist rural Alaskan communities in planning and build-out of modern broadband capabilities.

Description: Provides a layered and integrated capability to safely screen for potential threat items in unstructured crowds within soft-target venues and crowded spaces without impact to the speed of travel while maintaining individual privacy.

DOE Clean Energy and Power Battery Materials Processing Grants New Competitive July 1, 2022 – Applications closed Yes - the IIJA directs the Secretary to prioritize applicants who partner with Tribes

Description: Grants for battery material processing to ensure that the US has a viable battery materials processing industry. Funds can also be used to expand domestic capacities in battery manufacturing and enhance processing capacity.

DOE Clean Energy and Power Program Upgrading Our Electric Grid and Ensuring Reliability and Resiliency (s. 40103) New Competitive January 2022 - Notice of Intent Issued Yes

Description: To provide federal financial assistance to demonstrate innovative approaches to transmission, storage and distribution infrastructure to harden and enhance resiliency and reliability and to demonstrate new approaches to enhance regional grid resilience.

Federal Cost Share: At least 20% federal cost share for a funded research and development activity, unless the activity is of a basic nature. A 50% federal cost share of total costs for a funded demonstration and commercial application activity.
