Description: Establish a program of research, development and demonstration for carbon storage

DOE Clean Energy and Power Power Marketing Administration Transmission Borrowing Authority Existing Loans September 30, 2022 - The Administrator must issue an updated financial plan by the end of FY 2022

Description: Borrowing authority for the Bonneville Power Authority (BPA) to assist in the financing of the construction, acquisition and replacement of the federal Columbia River Power System.

USACE Resilience Coastal Storm Risk Management, Hurricane, And Storm Damage Reduction Projects Existing Direct Federal

Description: This program will fund the construction of projects that help to reduce the risk of damage in a coastal storm, targeting States that have been impacted by Federally declared disasters over the past six years.

Eligible Recipients: The Army Corps will use this funding to construct authorized federal storm damage reduction projects.

Federal Cost Share: In general, projects are cost shared 65% Federal, 35% non-Federal.

Description: The Army Corps to use this funding for operation and maintenance of its projects, including coastal and inland navigation projects.

Description: The UTC Program advances the State-of-the-art in transportation research and technology, and develops the next generation of transportation professionals.

DOE Clean Energy and Power Energy Efficiency Revolving Loan Fund Capitalization Grant Program New Loan May 6, 2022 - comments closed in response to Request for Information

Description: To provide capitalization grants to States to establish a revolving loan fund under which the state will provide loans and grants for energy efficiency audits, upgrades, and retrofits to increase energy efficiency and improve building comfort

DOE Clean Energy and Power Battery Manufacturing and Recycling Grants New Competitive July 5, 2022 – submission deadline closed for full applications

Description: To provide grants to ensure the US has a viable domestic manufacturing and recycling capability to support a North American battery supply chain.

Eligible Recipients: State and local governments, non profits, higher ed, etc.

DOE Clean Energy and Power Civil Nuclear Credit Program New Credit September 6, 2022 - application deadline extended for certification and sealed bids

Description: To establish a Civil Nuclear Credit (CNC) Program to prevent premature retirements of existing commercial nuclear reactors due to economic factors. The CNC Program will certify nuclear reactors for program eligibility, establish a process to accept sealed bids for credits from certified nuclear reactors, allocate credits to certified nuclear reactors and conduct periodic audits.

GSA Ports and Waterways Real Property Activities Existing Direct Federal

Description: Construction and acquisition, and repairs and alterations of land ports of entry.

FCC-WCB Broadband Broadband Deployment Locations Map New Direct federal spending

Description: To establish an online mapping tool to provide a locations overview of the overall geographic footprint of each broadband infrastructure deployment project funded by the Infrastructure Act, the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act, the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021, the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 or any other Federal amounts appropriated or any Federal program authorized after the date of enactment of the Infrastructure Act to fund broadband infrastructure deployment.

Description: Establishes a program to promote battery recycling through the development of voluntary labeling guidelines for batteries and other forms of communication materials for battery producers and consumers about the reuse and recycling of critical materials from batteries.

EPA Other Battery Recycling Best Practices New Report to Congress in November 2023

Description: The Environmental Protection Agency will develop best practices that may be implemented by State, Tribal, and local governments with respect to the collection of batteries to be recycled.

DOC - NTIA Broadband Broadband Equity, Access and Deployment Program (BEAD) New Formula August 15, 2022 - Initial Planning Funds application due Yes Yes

Description: For broadband planning, deployment, and adoption projects. Each State, D.C, and P.R. will receive an allocation of at least $100 million and the United States Virgin Islands, Guam, American Samoa, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands will each receive $25 million. Each State will receive initial funding of $5 million and each territory will receive initial funding of $1.25 million to support broadband planning efforts including building capacity in State broadband offices and outreach with local communities. Following submission of 5-year Action Plans, the remaining funding will be distributed based on a formula that considers the number of unserved and high-cost locations in the State, based on the maps to be published by the FCC.

EPA Water Geographic Programs - Great Lakes Restoration Initiative No Grant

Description: To restore and maintain the chemical, physical, and biological integrity of the Great Lakes Basin Ecosystem.

USDA Resilience State Fire Assistance Existing Competitive

Description: The Forest Service supports and assists State Foresters and local communities in building capacity for wildfire prevention, mitigation, control, and suppression on non-Federal lands.

Eligible Recipients: State and Communities, State Forestry Service

EPA Water National Estuary Program Grants No Grant July 2022 - FY2022 - FY2026 Guidance released

Description: To protect and restore the water quality and resources of estuaries and associated watersheds designated by the EPA Administrator as estuaries of national significance.

Eligible Recipients: 28 Federally Recognized Local National Estuary Programs

USACE Resilience Flood Plain Management Services No Direct Federal

Description: The Army Corps provides site-specific flood and flood plain data and assistance to States, Tribes, and local communities.

Description: Uses collaborative, science-based approaches to enhance forest and watershed health, reduce risk from uncharacteristic wildfire, and provide benefits to rural economies.

USDA Resilience Restore Native Vegetation On Federal/Non-Federal Land No Direct Federal Spending

Description: This program ensures the productive and sustainable use of National Forest System lands by improving the condition and health of forest and rangeland vegetation, controlling the spread of invasive species, sustaining soil productivity, reducing the risk of severe flooding and erosion in areas affected by severe fire, and maintaining water quality.
