USDA Resilience Capital Improvement And Maintenance - Legacy Road And Trail Remediation Program No Direct Federal Spending

Description: This program protects investments by decommissioning and repairing roads and trails to mitigate detrimental impacts to sensitive ecosystems and watersheds.

USACE Resilience Aquatic Ecosystem Restoration Projects No Direct Federal Yes

Description: Funds the construction of authorized water resources projects to increase aquatic ecosystem restoration, including $1 billion for multi-purpose projects or programs that include aquatic ecosystem restoration as a purpose.

Eligible Recipients: In partnership with State, local, and Tribal governments the Army Corps would use funding to construct Federally authorized aquatic ecosystem restoration projects.

Federal Cost Share: In general, unless otherwise specified in law, projects are cost shared 65 percent Federal, 35 percent non-Federal.

DOI Resilience Colorado River Drought Contingency Plan No Financial Assistance First Round of Funding Allocated / Selections Announced in July 2022

Description: The Colorado River Basin Drought Contingency Plan aims to reduce the risk of Lake Mead and Lake Powell reaching critically low elevations.

EPA Water Geographic Programs - Lake Pontchartrain Restoration Program No Cooperative Agreement (Discretionary Grants)

Description: This program carries out the Lake Pontchartrain Basin Comprehensive Management Plan.

Description: Provides technical and financial assistance to American Tribes and Alaska Native villages for the cooperative development and construction of safe drinking water supply, sewage, and solid waste disposal facilities, and related support facilities.

EPA Water Geographic Programs - Great Lakes Restoration Initiative No Grant

Description: To restore and maintain the chemical, physical, and biological integrity of the Great Lakes Basin Ecosystem.

EPA Water Geographic Programs - Chesapeake Bay Program No Grant Yes

Description: Awards competitive grants and cooperative agreements to States, Tribal and local governments, non-governmental organizations, interstate agencies and academic institutions to reduce and prevent pollution and to improve the living resources in the Chesapeake Bay.

EPA Water National Estuary Program Grants No Grant July 2022 - FY2022 - FY2026 Guidance released

Description: To protect and restore the water quality and resources of estuaries and associated watersheds designated by the EPA Administrator as estuaries of national significance.

Eligible Recipients: 28 Federally Recognized Local National Estuary Programs

EPA Water Geographic Programs - Long Island Sound No Cooperative Agreement (Discretionary Grants)

Description: Supports the implementation of a comprehensive plan to protect and restore water quality, habitat, and living resources in Long Island Sound, working with State and local governments, the private sector, user groups, and the general public.

EPA Water Geographic Programs - Puget Sound No Grant

Description: Goal to restore and maintain the Puget Sound Estuary's environment.

Description: The Forest Service Burned Area Rehabilitation program addresses threats to fish, wildlife and people downstream, that some fires create.

EPA Water Geographic Programs - Columbia River Basin Restoration Program No Grant August 10, 2022 - EPA announced initial awards for FY2022

Description: This program is intended to improve water quality in the Lower Columbia River Basin through specific actions to reduce toxics, increase monitoring, and/or increase public education and outreach.

EPA Water Geographic Programs - Gulf of Mexico No Grant

Description: Founded to facilitate collaborative actions to protect, maintain, and restore the health and productivity of the Gulf of Mexico in ways consistent with the economic well-being of the Region.

USDA Resilience Hazardous Fuels Management No Direct Federal Spending

Description: The Hazardous Fuels program prioritizes treating areas with high potential for damaging wildfires within the wildland-urban interface using a scenario planning tool to identify areas where there is high and very high wildfire hazard potential adjacent to communities.

EPA Water Geographic Programs - San Francisco Bay Water Quality Improvement Fund No Grant September 20, 2022 - Request for Applications closes

Description: To improve water quality and restore aquatic habitat (i.e. wetlands) in the San Francisco Bay and its watersheds.

EPA Water Geographic Programs - South Florida Geographic Initiatives Program No Grant

Description: Provides competitive grants to address the immediate and emerging ecological pressures and threats to nearshore waters, bays, estuaries, beaches, and coral reefs central to South Florida’s economic well-being.

EPA Water Geographic Programs - Southeast New England Coastal Watershed Restoration Program No Grant

Description: To protect and restore water quality, ecological health, and diverse habitats by sharing knowledge and resources, promoting innovative approaches, and leveraging economic and environmental investments to meet the needs of current and future generations.

EPA Water Geographic Programs - Northwest Forest No Grants and Interagency Agreements

Description: Addresses water quality impairments from non-point sources related to pacific northwest forest practices and works to improve the quality and quantity of surface water so that beneficial uses and drinking water/source water protection goals are met.

Eligible Recipients: Limited Eligibilities – Federal

USACE Resilience Inland Flood Risk Management Projects No Direct Federal

Description: Funds the construction of projects that help to reduce the risk of damage in a flood, including $750 million for multi-purpose projects or programs that include flood risk management benefits as a purpose.

Eligible Recipients: The Army Corps will use this funding to construct authorized Federal flood damage reduction projects.

Federal Cost Share: In general, unless otherwise specified in law, projects are cost shared 65 percent Federal, 35 percent non-Federal.

DOI Water Central Utah Project No Direct Federal Spending January 2022, Initial Spend Plan released

Description: Funding will be used to continue construction of the Utah Lake System Pipeline.

USDA Resilience Federal Wildland Firefighter Salaries And Expenses No Direct Federal Spending

Description: To address the increasing complexity and severity of fire years the Forest Service will create a more permanent workforce by converting no fewer than 1,000 seasonal wildland firefighters to wildland fire managers that are full-time, permanent and year-round while also holding responsibilities for reducing hazardous fuels on Federal land.

Description: The agency will procure and place wildfire detection and real-time monitoring equipment, such as sensors, cameras, and other relevant equipment in wildfire prone areas to enhance safety and awareness of wildfire risk for the public and first responders.
